What was the highlight of Bonita Bay Concept Hotel
A very nice choice in Santa Marta
The breakfast where good, but a breakfast buffé would have been quicker. The room itself was great with a nice sea view! Good AC. Close to everything, like the beach walk. Would stay again.
The entrance to the hotel was a bit hidden. You have to walk into a passage, with a resturant on one side and a pharmacy on the other. Pass the escalator, turn around the corner and take the elevator to 4th floor. But as soon you done inte once, it's easy.

What was the highlight of Bonita Bay Concept Hotel
Mixed feelings, but OK overall
The location was great, the hotel is across the street from the sea and only a few blocks away from Parque de los novios and lots of restaurants and bars. There is a pharmacy right downstairs where you can buy water and snacks if needed. The room was huge, the place is very clean and the AC was working extremely well. Having a fridge, a couch and an arm chair was also great. The view from the large windows was beautiful.
The bed was hard (not just firm, HARD) and uncomfortable, so much so that our backs hurt. When we asked the staff (three times) for an extra blanket to put on the mattress so it wouldn't feel so hard, they all first said no, then they said they "would check" but never followed up so we gave up. Breakfast was not amazing, there are a few options on the menu but what you get is very inconsistent from one day to the next. We stayed there for a few days and even though we often ordered the same breakfast, what we got was different each day. Sometimes the bread was not toasted at all, sometimes it was, one morning they gave us a small cup of butter that clearly had been used by other people before us, other times there was no butter at all to go with the bread... The amount of food is small and the quality is OK at best. The service was also meh. As I mentioned above, the location is great, but the downside is that you really do hear a lot of noise/music at night (there was music 4 out of 4 nights that we were there and we did hear it pretty loud). The shower was leaking even when we closed the door, so we had to ask for extra towels to keep the water from spreading to the rest of the room. It seems like the staff was aware of the leaking because they just gave us towels without making any comments about it. Despite all of these though, I think we would still stay there because the AC is strong, the room was very clean and comfortable (except for the bed!) and the location was perfect.
